The Need For Good Communication

3 Jul

Unfortunately countless marriages today end up on the rocks (up to half of first time marriages in many western countries) often because of a lack of will to make a marriage work.

Right now I am sure most of you reading this are feeling one of two things:

One, your unhappy in your current relationship and are seriously considering whether you should try to work things out or whether you should give up and call it quits.

People really need to dig deep into their hearts and remember why it was they got married in the first place and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Keeping a marriage together in good times is not a problem but when bad times strike a marriage can soon be in trouble. This will lead to an unhappy marriage.

So many problems can happen in a marriage that it’s difficult to know where to start.

We see divorcees encouraging their children to marry; we see bad fathers beating their wives and children; we see families with money problems having more children than they can afford, financially or emotionally,

Poor communication  is one of the things that may cause tension in a marriage. There is always the need for good communication. It is vital for a couple to be on the same wavelength or else the relationship will have a communication breakdown.

It is of great importance that all discussions should be friendly and constructive. Marriage guidance can help a couple to improve their communication with each other.

It can help to rebuild a marriage and restore the warmth, care and love that has been missing between them. Marriage counseling sessions work to improve communication between couples. It will show them how they can deal with the many pressures of marriage and support each other at the same time.

Unfortunately many couples leave seeking professional help way to late, some don’t even seek it at all.
